Editorial Policy

FPG (Finance • Prosperity • Guide) is committed to producing accurate, independent and useful personal finance journalism for U.S. readers. This policy explains how we work.

Independence

Our editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, affiliate partners and product issuers. No partner can pay to influence our reviews, ratings or recommendations.

Research & sourcing

We base our reporting on primary sources whenever possible: government data (IRS, SSA, BLS, FDIC), SEC filings, peer-reviewed research and direct interviews. We cite our sources inline.

Fact-checking

Every article is reviewed by at least one editor in addition to its author. Numbers, tax rules, interest rates and product terms are verified against at least two independent sources before publication.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it and post a visible correction note at the bottom of the article. Email us at contact to report an error.

Updates

Personal finance changes fast. We review evergreen articles at least once per year — and immediately when relevant laws, rates or product terms change.
